Volunteering Opportunity - Voluntary Finance Manager , Mancunians is Manchester's Dual Code Rugby club. Offering Rugby League Rugby Union and several other sports across the city, we are growing at a rapid pace and we have a fantastic opportunity for a suitable person to join our team. The Finance Manager is responsible for assisting the board of directors with the management of the club’s accounts and its financial dealings. Typical responsibilities: 1. Update club accounts on a weekly basis 2. Raise invoices and reconcile accounts 3. Administer our ever growing after school club service 4. Liaise with team managers to update the player registration system 5. Be aware of the financial position of the club and keep the board of directors up to date with of any areas of concern 6. Liaise with team managers, community coaches and project managers to keep track of club budgets and expenditure. 7. Work with the club directors to perform the function of a senior management team 8. Maintain confidentiality on relevant matters 9. Follow the club’s code of conduct and the partner NGB rules and regulations and ensure that other club co-owners and volunteers do the same. 10. Act in accordance with the club’s core documents with particular reference to the aim’s and objectives of the club, as detailed in the Governing document. Knowledge and experience: • IT literate in WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL and accounting software • Ability to produce written accounts and financial statements • Strong mathematical ability preferably gained in a financial background • Understanding of club’s code of conduct • Understanding of the club’s core policies and documents and the club’s governing document Skills and behaviours: • Strong analytical skills and a logical approach • Excellent written and spoken English• Accuracy and an attention to detail • Organisational and time management skills • Honest approach and able to demonstrate discretion • Ability to work as part of a team This is a voluntary role and is likely to take up one day or evening of your time per week.
